Here are eight things you should keep in mind when attending the World's Largest Yard Sale.
Bring Cash
Most vendors do not take credit cards. There are ATM's on site.
Bring a Bag to Hold Your Purchases
A cart to hold all your bags. The World's Largest Yard Sale has OVER 300 vendors selling. You always have the option to re-enter if your purchases become too heavy, making it difficult to continue to shop.
Have a Plan
If you get separated from your group. Bring cell phones or walkie talkies for easy contact with a lost member of your group.
Be Prepared for Any Weather Conditions
You don't want to miss the vendors outside! In the past, the World's Largest Yard Sale has been fortunate with great weather. But the weather forecast is never a guarantee. So bring an umbrella, raincoat, or poncho just in case.
Expect Great Deals on Your Holiday Shopping
Vendors will be selling Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas/Easter items. Buy now and be ahead of the game.
Relax
It may be overwhelming at times, when your hands are full, the aisles are filled with shoppers, your stomach is growling, your wallet is getting lighter. Enjoy the concession stands, food trucks, and some vendor booths selling little treats.
Patience
There will be LOTS of shoppers coming to the World's Largest Yard Sale. In Spring 2011, over 7,000 shoppers came out. Parking may not be conveniently located near the doors. You may be walking a little ways. Wear sneakers.
Don't Bring Pets
This is a Fairground Rule. Even though your pets are not allowed, there will be vendor booths selling fun things to take home for them.
